At Posh Plonk, we believe that great wine doesn’t have to be pretentious.

Founded over 10 years ago, we’re an Aussie family-owned boutique winery that produces all our wines right here in Australia. We create wines that are both incredibly well-made and unapologetically fun.

What's with the name, Posh Plonk?

When we started, we knew we wanted to take a different approach to many in the industry who take themselves way too seriously, hence the name, Posh Plonk.

Were we mocked? Yes. Did people scoff? Sure did. Were they eating their words once they had a sip of our wine? Abso-fricken-lutely! You see, joke’s on them, because while we might have a cheeky name, we’re VERY SERIOUS about quality. 

For us, the name ‘Posh Plonk’ is a way to break down barriers. We want everyone to feel welcome at our table, from the wine snob to the novice. And while the name is playful, make no mistake – our wine is seriously good.

What makes our wines so posh?

Our world-class winemaking team has trained across the globe, learning from the best in Europe. We use traditional methods, the highest quality barrels and the finest regional fruit to produce wine that is truly exceptional, every time.

The Posh Plonk Signature Wrap

At Posh Plonk, we reckon looks matter. That’s why every bottle of our Reserve Range comes dressed in our trademarked Posh Plonk Signature Permanent Wrap which is designed to stay on, even when serving.

Our Vintage Cuvee wrap is even waterproof, so it can be placed in a fridge or ice bucket. It also doubles as an insulator to keep your bubbles cool if the party runs a little long. Developed by us, you won’t find this ingenuity anywhere else.

Each bottle is hand-wrapped and finished with a twine bow and gold embossing, giving it a luxury look that makes it perfect for gifting. And if you’re wondering why our wrap looks a little like a fancy paper bag, that’s no coincidence – it’s a nod to the Prohibition era, when people had to conceal their plonk in a bag!
